Waterways and Heatwaves - Study 3 traces the flow of a river as it winds through the landscape.

Bands of dark blue, earthy brown, vivid red and muted pink form an abstracted sense of water, riverbanks and surrounding land. The changing direction and density of the tufted wool mirror the river's natural rhythm — flowing freely in places, cutting through and reshaping the landscape in others.

Like each work in the Waterways and Heatwaves series, this piece isn't a literal depiction of a particular view, but an interpretation of movement, colour and atmosphere.
