Lusea Warner-Gale is a contemporary British landscape painter known for her vibrant, expressive works that capture the energy and colour of coastal and rural environments.
Lusea’s painting practice is centred on the expressive power of colour and the relationships that develop between colours on the canvas. Through bold combinations, layering, and intuitive mark-making, she explores how colour can create rhythm, movement, and emotional depth.
Inspired by the Dorset landscape, her work draws on memories of light, sea, land, and changing weather rather than literal representation. Colour acts as both structure and emotion, allowing each painting to evolve organically.
She studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design from 2003 to 2007, where she developed her bold, tactile approach to landscape painting.
After graduating, Lusea’s work gained international attention, leading to exhibitions in cities including London, Paris, New York, Cyprus and Cape Town. She now lives and works from her studio on the West Dorset coast, creating striking artworks celebrated by collectors worldwide.
